Position Overview:
The Payroll & Incentive Compensation Analyst is a highly experienced individual contributor responsible for the accurate and compliant execution of payroll operations and the administration of the Company’s performance-based incentive programs. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, serving as a subject matter expert and key partner to Accounting, HR, and business leadership while driving process improvements and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
· Assist with weekly end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
· Perform and review payroll reconciliations, audit controls, and reporting to ensure data accuracy and integrity
· Serve as the primary subject matter expert for payroll processes, systems, and compliance requirements
· Maintain and optimize payroll system configurations (e.g., ADP) to support business needs
· Execute multi-state payroll tax reporting and ensure regulatory compliance
· Develop, maintain, and enhance payroll procedures and documentation
· Analyze payroll audit reports and proactively resolve discrepancies
· Partner with HR, Finance, and Accounting to ensure accurate payroll-related data flow and reporting
Incentive Compensation Program Administration
Reporting and Analysis:
· Assist with preparation of recurring and ad-hoc reporting as requested by management
· Assist with delivery of audit requests for 401(k), worker’s compensation, and external financial statement audits
· Evaluate and compare job roles against industry compensation data using salary surveys and market pricing tools
Qualifications:
· 5-8 years’ experience in payroll processing, preferably with 500+ employees
· Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred
· Experience with multi-state payroll processing and tax reporting required
· Experience with prevailing wage (certified pay) compliance and reporting preferred
· Experience with ADP enterprise platform or similar HRIS system
· Experience with incentive compensation administration preferred
